We focus heavily on the practical elements of a successful hunt, taking you through proper equipment fit, strict safe transportation protocols, and mastering stable shooting positions. You will culminate your training with guided live-fire drills, ensuring that when that critical moment arrives in the field, your muscle memory takes over and you are fully prepared to manage your firearm safely and effectively.

Safe Transporting of Equipment
We will cover the strict safety protocols for securely casing and moving your unloaded firearm to and from the field without incident.
Shooting Positions
We focus on establishing stable, repeatable shooting stances that maximize your accuracy and ensure safety when taking a critical shot.
Proper Equipment Fitting
Learn how to evaluate and adjust your equipment so your rifle or shotgun aligns perfectly with your body for optimal placement.
Live Fire Practice & Training
You will put your mechanics to the test with 25 to 50 rounds of guided shooting practice to guarantee you are fully dialed in for hunting season.
Safe Operation & Handling
Through targeted, hands-on drills, you will build the muscle memory required to effectively manage your firearm.
Ammunition & Gear Management
You will learn how to properly select, inspect, and manage factory ammunition while keeping your essential field gear organized and safe.

For the Preparation for Hunting firearm training you should bring the following:
Primary Firearm: Bring 1 functioning firearm (rifle or shotgun).
- Transporting: All firearms must be transported unloaded and enclosed in a hard plastic case.
Ammunition: Bring 25 to 50 rounds of factory ammunition; please note that reloads are strictly prohibited
Safety Gear: Eye protection, ear protection, and knee pads are strictly required.
Proper Apparel: Loose, comfortable, layered clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Footwear: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes such as tennis shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes are permitted).
Belt: A sturdy belt that is capable of securely holding a holster.

Yes, in order to participate in the Preparation for Hunting firearm training, the Introduction to Range Use firearm training must be completed.
This is an intensive 2-hour hands-on training.
