Let's Get Started
In this training we cover everything from the ground up teaching you proper stance, grip, and fit basics. You will develop practical skills like draw technique and safely handling your firearm, including loading, unloading and clearing malfunctions. By the end of this firearm training you will meet the training requirements to apply for the Oregon Concealed Handgun License. You’ll also learn about range etiquette and how to use your firearm at the range.

In Introduction to Range Use Firearm training we emphasize the ‘Eyes Up’ philosophy. Every drill is designed to help firearm handling become second nature so you can keep your eyes up and stay aware of your surroundings.

Easy-to-Learn Drills
We'll cover all the basic skills and techniques you need to handle a firearm with confidence. We'll focus on easy to learn and remember drills that become muscle memory.
Range Etiquette and Safety
You'll learn about range conditions (such as the 'range is cold' or the 'range is hot') and how to handle your firearm and conduct yourself when at the range.
Blue Gun and Snap Caps
Blue gun and snap caps are used before we use any live ammunition. In fact the first few drills don't involve handling any kind of firearm.
Situational Awareness
You'll get an introduction to situational awareness such as what not to say to law enforcement after an encounter involving your firearm.
Detailed Feedback
Receive constructive feedback throughout your training, allowing you to improve effectively and gain confidence in your skills.

You do not need to bring a firearm for basic training. Bring yourself and comfortable layered clothing so you can participate in training both indoor and outdoor.
No prior experience is required. Our training is structured to cater to beginners and those looking to refresh their skills.
This firearm training program is 6 hours of instruction time and 2 hours of range time for a total of 8 hours.
